What a difference a month makes! On May 11th, Darlene headed up to Flagstaff with a team of volunteers, a bunch of polish sausage and her bag of tricks to capture a young mastiff who was hiding in the woods in the mountains. He must have been dumped, and he was terrified. A kind woman was putting some food and water out for him, but could not get near him. Darlene, Karen, Carol and Simone spent the day getting close enough to leash George and bring him home. He was very skinny, very scared, and felt lousy. He had a face and nose full of cactus thorns - so painful! And today, on June 11th, George is living it up in his foster home. George has made his foster parents fall completely in love, and has even won over Lady, the female cocker spaniel who chooses her friends very carefully. Please visit our website and fill out an application if you would like to meet George.www.azmastiffrescue.com
