Meet Cooper, this sweet 12 month old guy has a sad story but we hope it ends well. His first owner got him as a puppy and when he got to be 10 Mon sold him on cl for being to big. One of our apps we were screening purchased him. The app only have had sm dogs which is like having cats had no idea of what owning a big dog means ,so she brought him home and her hubby was out of town. He got back into town walked in and Cooper growled at him. Let’s be clear no bite, no lunge, no aggression. Growling is a form of communication , when a dog growls it is saying to you I am uncomfortable and not sure of what is happening please stay back. After he growled he was fine but she knew she wasn’t a big dog person. She reached out and we agreed to take the dog. Instead of driving the dog to us ,she drove the dog to county where he ended up getting sick. Poor Cooper got Really sick with pneumonia we were afraid we were going to lose him. We are seeing a fungal pneumonia at county rt now which is hard to treat. We went and got him after he was there for two days after the app lied and said she found a home for him. We have treated his pneumonia and he is cleared to get neutered and to get adopted. This sweet guy has lived with cats and kids and dog friendly. He is crate trained as well. He is a sweet boy that just needs to gain weight after being so sick. He may not look big but he is a big boy so needs a home not intimidated by size. Www.azmastiffrescue.com
