Adopting a Friend

The adoption process is simple, and we strive to make it as quick as possible.

The steps are as follows:

Fill out an application on our website.

We will call you to conduct a phone interview.

We will perform a home visit or video tour.

You will meet our dogs and proceed with the adoption.

You must be willing to drive to meet our dogs, as this is the best way to choose the dog that fits you best. It also provides an opportunity to meet our dogs. Occasionally, if a potential home is near where a dog is being fostered, we can bring the dog to meet you during the home visit.

We work hard to ensure that our dogs are a good fit for their new homes. We will only place a dog in a home that is suitable. While we make every effort to help you adopt the dog of your choice, it is not always possible due to the above considerations. However, we will find a dog that fits your home if your preferred choice does not.

Adoptions are handled on a first-come, first-served basis, and we will not hold a dog for you. We have experienced too many issues with this in the past, so it is essential that you respond quickly and that we navigate the process efficiently. Additionally, please fill out an application as soon as possible and be prepared to adopt when you apply.

There are important factors to consider when deciding if a Mastiff breed is the right dog for you. They are large breed dogs, meaning they will be big or grow to be large. Ensure you are ready for a dog of this size before applying. Also, please keep in mind that these dogs tend to drool; some drool more than others, but all will drool to some extent. Be prepared for this and willing to manage it before applying. Finally, consider the commitment of bringing a dog into your life and home. A dog is a long-term commitment that should be taken very seriously. Remember that dogs will be dogs. If you are not ready to take on this responsibility, please wait until you are ready to welcome a new family member into your home.

All donations are tax-deductible. We kindly ask that you do not request discounts. As a business, we must carry insurance and file taxes annually. While we receive a small discount on veterinary care, we cover the costs of many surgeries and medical treatments for dogs surrendered by owners who cannot afford their care. We also travel to multiple states to rescue dogs that have been abandoned, often with their lives at stake. All of these efforts incur significant expenses. On average, we spend between $600 and $3,000 on each rescue dog to prepare them for adoption.
