Meet Maverick-Maverick is a beautiful sweet goofy boy that is about 1 1/2 yrs old. He is fine with large breed females and we have not tested him with cats or small dogs. He is very active right now and still a big puppy. He is very strong and will pull on a leash so when we walk him we use a prong collar. He does very well on a prong collar and very manageable. Maverick LOVES toys and needs rope and kong toys or nylabones. He enjoys going on long walks and his foster home takes him to volley ball games and he is the center of attention and LOVES all the people that just want to pet him. He is not destructive in the house and we are working on crate training him. Maverick has came a long way from the Humane Society when he was turned in and was skin and bones. We taught him to take food gently and at first we had a hard time with that he was sooo skinny and wanted to gobble all treats and food. Maverick does very well on a leash now and is house trained. Maverick would do well with a large breed female to play with or he would be fine as a only dog. His fur feels like velvet and he is a different dog then when he came into rescue.
