Elways was picked up as a stray in Stockton, CA and then rescued from the kill shelter. How anyone let this great boy get away (or maybe dumped him), we'll never understand! Elways is gorgeous and good sized, and he needs to put on some weight. We think he's about 2 years old, but he acts a little bit younger. Elway is house trained and has some natural manners (he seems to know he's a big boy), but he does need some obedience training and social skills. Elway is playful and ready to have a good run around the yard or a nice long walk before he curls up at your feet to keep you company. If you have dogs in the family, we would need to do proper introductions, but it seems that Elway might enjoy living with a female dog. UPDATE Elway is doing great in his foster home with a female mastiff and a beagle. He seems to have settled in nicely and likes having other dogs to play with. His foster mom said if he doesn't go soon to a new home she may have to adopt him herself!
